Gymming!

So I finally went to the gym today, and boy am I in pain!

I went with one of my co-workers, and since we just signed up for the same gym that makes us both gym buddies.

I wanted to work on my legs and that's what I feel like I got accomplished today, but that didn't come without a few speedbumps. Today was officially my first day at Planet Fitness, which kinda felt like being at a new school all over again. I slowly wandered around the gym waiting for my friend to arrive, and then we went to the stretching room. It's a good thing it wasn't crowded when we were in there because my knowledge of gym equipment is nonexistent, so seeing me figure out how this here device works could have been comical.

After I did the stretches, I went to the eliptical machine for 6 minutes because I didn't know what else to do- and afterwards I thought I made a mistake wearing a thick hoodie to the gym.

I went back to the stretching room and laid out a mat so it would look like I knew what I was doing. Well, I did a few leg exercises but after that I just laid on my stomach and played with some of my apps because A) I was dead and B) I couldn't find my party.

When I finally did find my party, we left and were gonna get smoothies, but in Atlanta 5:00 traffic is a BEEEYEEAAACH so we went our separate ways. It's a start, I mean, I HAVE to go to the gym now, I already paid the membership fee, even if I just need to run in to use the showers, that's $20 a month I'd be throwing away. I'm scrawny.

  1. I bet it feels good to be in pain after a good session of working out! It means you're doing something right.

    I need to start working out soon soooo bad. It's been actually a year since I last hit they gym. UGHHHH.
